GLOCA Officially Registered in Syria

We are proud to announce that Civil Society Advancement Organization GLOCA has been officially registered and licensed in the Syrian Arab Republic under the decision issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (Decision No. 1386, dated April 13, 2025).

This milestone marks a significant step forward in our mission to foster civic engagement, empower youth, and strengthen participatory governance and social cohesion across Syria.

GLOCA (Global Organization for Civil Society Advancement) is a non-profit civil society organization registered in:

  1. Turkey since 2022 (Registration No.: 27-028-048)

  2. Switzerland since 2024 (Registration No.: CHE-420.118.486)

  3. Syria since 2025 (Decision No. 1386)

Our headquarters are located in Aleppo, with active branches in Azaz and Idlib, and operational access across all regions of Syria.

According to our Syrian registration license, GLOCA’s core objectives include:

Empowering youth by enhancing their civic, cultural, and leadership capacities, and encouraging their active participation in society.

Promoting principles of good governance and institutional development to improve performance and accountability.

Supporting digital transformation in civil society work.

Advocating for human rights, justice, peacebuilding, and inclusive reform, particularly in support of vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Contributing to sustainable development efforts.

GLOCA relies on technology and environmentally friendly tools in its efforts to create educational, professional, and academic opportunities. We are especially focused on strengthening the leadership roles of youth and women in both political and social initiatives.

In all of our interventions, we remain firmly committed to defending human rights, particularly in conflict zones, where harsh and prolonged conditions often lead to isolation, frustration, and a loss of hope—especially among young people.

We look forward to continuing our efforts in collaboration with local communities, national stakeholders, and international partners to build a more just, democratic, and inclusive Syria.
